As part of the Side by Side: United Communities project, an intellectual teleconference entitled Language of Unity was held on the eve of International Mother Language Day, bringing together schoolchildren from Pokrovsk, Zhovkva, and Uman.
The Pokrovsk community was represented by a team from Lyceum No. 2, and the broadcast was organized at the relocated Educational Complex No. 1 in Dnipro.
The students presented their teams and competed in four themed rounds: they guessed idioms, recognized songs by emojis, tested their language skills, and discovered the richness of Ukrainian dialects. The remote performance of the Lyceum No. 2 choir with the song "Dumy moї, dumy" was particularly touching.
At the end, the participants created a joint "word cloud" in which the Ukrainian language sounded gentle, strong, and unbreakable. Friendship, unity, and love for the native language won in this game.
