The Pokrovsk community is expanding its partnership: a memorandum has been signed with the Kamyanska community in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
As part of the national project "Side by Side: United Communities," the document was signed by the head of the Pokrovsk MBA, Serhiy Dobryak, and the chairman of the Kamyanska City Council, Andriy Bilousov.
Natalia Chukova, head of the department for cooperation with local self-government bodies of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, joined the event online and emphasized the importance of strengthening the resilience of communities and wished success in the development of the partnership.
The memorandum aims to:
support the Pokrovsk community as an outpost;
overcome the consequences of armed aggression;
implement joint humanitarian, educational, and cultural projects;
providing comprehensive support to displaced persons, including creating conditions for temporary accommodation, social support, medical and psychological assistance, as well as helping businesses to relocate.
Serhiy Dobryak noted that the partnership with the Kamyanska community strengthens Pokrovsk's capabilities and helps to respond quickly to people's needs.
Cooperation with Kamyanska has been ongoing since October 2024: a clinic and a centre for administrative services for thousands of displaced persons from the Pokrovsk community are already operating in this city, and the communities support each other.
Kam'yanska MTG became Pokrovsk's sixth partner community within the framework of the Side by Side project.
