The State Statistics Service of Ukraine, together with the M. V. Ptukha Institute for Demography and Quality of Life Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Center for Social Reforms NGO, with the support of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Ukraine, are implementing another round of the Multi-Indicator Cluster Survey. The purpose of the event is to provide information on the status of the field stage of data collection for the Multi-Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) in Ukraine and its significance for public policy and communities; to agree on practical issues of interaction between interviewers and communities and informing the population.

The event will involve representatives of regional state administrations; leaders and authorized representatives of local communities selected to participate in the MICS.
What is MICS?
It is a selective household survey that provides reliable data on the situation of children and women in areas such as health, education, safety, nutrition, water supply, and sanitation.
The survey is conducted using international methodology, which ensures a high level of data reliability and comparability.
The purpose of MICS
Monitoring the implementation of children's rights in accordance with the UN Convention.
Assessing progress in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
Developing effective public policies based on the data obtained.
Main stages:
Listing (compiling lists of households): July–September 2025.
Survey (fieldwork): September 2025 – February 2026.
The survey will cover all non-institutional households in Ukraine (except those located in combat zones and frontline areas).
