Every day, law enforcement officers receive evacuation requests and help people leave the most dangerous areas of the region. The most important thing is to get children out of the line of fire.
Currently, mandatory evacuations of families with children are underway in five settlements in the region. Twelve evacuation teams, including the “White Angels,” juvenile police officers, and others, are involved in rescuing people.
In the past 24 hours alone, 818 people, including 57 children, have left the Donetsk region.
Due to daily enemy shelling, there are no safe places left in the region. But despite the constant attacks, more than 89,000 people—including over 4,200 children—still remain here.
Childhood should not be spent in a place that the enemy is wiping off the face of the earth—where bombs destroy a dozen houses at a time, and where riding a bike means becoming a target for an enemy drone. It’s getting harder and harder to leave. That’s why the police are urging parents not to delay their departure.
