Poltava City Territorial Community and Illinivska Rural Territorial Community of Donetsk Oblast have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation within the framework of the National Project "Side by Side: Cohesive Communities".
This project aims to strengthen interregional ties and support communities affected by armed aggression.
The Illinivska community is partially under occupation, with hostilities taking place on part of its territory. Since the first days of the full-scale invasion, the Illinivska community has become a reliable outpost in eastern Ukraine.
Poltava acted as a partner, accepting residents of the Illinivska community for temporary residence. The signing of the Memorandum marks the transition of cooperation to a new level, and we are now starting to develop a three-month plan of joint activities in the field of culture and education.
This step is part of the strategy of establishing interaction between communities to strengthen the unity and resilience of territorial communities, as well as to overcome the consequences of Russia's aggression against Ukraine.
Poltava and Illinivka are now working side by side, joining forces to win a common victory and rebuild Ukraine.
