The Dovidka.info project of the Center for Strategic Communications, in collaboration with JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia,” has produced a short video outlining the rules for the safe evacuation of passengers during rail travel.
The video emphasizes that during an air raid alert, trains usually continue moving, and they only stop if there is a direct threat to the train. In such a situation, the conductor warns passengers and provides clear instructions. It is important to remain calm and follow the instructions of railway staff.
The video reminds viewers of basic safety rules:
- listen carefully to the conductor and follow instructions;
- keep only the essentials with you and leave large suitcases in the car to avoid crowding;
- exit in an orderly manner, helping others whenever possible;
- be careful near the tracks and be aware of potential dangers;
- after exiting, move to a safe distance and, if possible, seek shelter;
- return to the car only when instructed by the conductor.
A series of informational cards has also been prepared with tips for traveling during wartime: what to have on hand, how to prepare for a possible evacuation, how to stay in touch without the internet, and more.
