As part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” representatives of the Chasovoyarsk community, veterans, and the team from the Chasovoyarsk City Military Administration visited Myronivka to celebrate the city’s 407th anniversary alongside their partners and participate in the “Veteran Pro” event for veterans.
Myronivka is a community that demonstrates that even in difficult times, it is important to preserve traditions, support one another, and create opportunities for veterans to socialize, relax, and lead active lives.
On the occasion of City Day, Serhiy Chaus, head of the Chasovoyarsk City Military Administration, congratulated the residents of Myronivka and wished the community peace, unity, development, and prosperity—and, most importantly, a swift return to peaceful life. He expressed his hope that Myronivka would continue to be a strong, united, and hospitable community that looks confidently toward the future.
During the meeting, there was also a discussion with Deputy Mayor Dmytro Zhukotansky. They discussed current issues regarding further cooperation between the communities, support for veterans and their families, the implementation of joint initiatives, as well as new areas of cooperation within the “Side by Side: United Communities” partnership.
A separate part of the meeting was the “Veteran Pro” fishing event for veterans. Together with partners and community veterans, participants were able to spend time in nature, relax, socialize in a casual atmosphere, and enjoy a good catch.
A highlight of the event was a meeting with Iryna Rudnevska—a Ukrainian culinary expert, food producer, and researcher of Ukrainian cuisine. Iryna presented her book *Old-World Cuisine of Ukraine*, which brings to life ancient recipes and culinary stories connected to Ivan Kotlyarevsky’s epic poem *The Aeneid*.
Such meetings serve as yet another reminder of how important it is to support not only the physical recovery of veterans but also their social lives, communication, new connections, and a sense of belonging to the greater Ukrainian community.
