On May 1, Uzhhorod hosted the 4th International Congress of the “Vzaimodeiya” Coordination Platform, which brought together over 300 participants—representatives of the business community, state and local government bodies, consular and diplomatic missions, civil society organizations, charitable foundations, volunteer initiatives, as well as other state and non-state institutions. The event was organized at the initiative of the Interfactional Deputy Association “Vzaimodiya.”
The purpose of the event was to foster professional dialogue and coordinate joint actions aimed at Ukraine’s European integration, strengthening democratic values and international security, and countering genocide and the enslavement of peoples around the world.
During the panel discussions, representatives from Donetsk Oblast, members of the Ukrainian Parliament, representatives of state and local government bodies, consular and diplomatic missions, members of international and civil society organizations, and others discussed pressing issues regarding:
- veteran policy and effective solutions, as well as “Vzaimodiya’s” use of international instruments;
- housing for military personnel, a reserve land fund in communities for war heroes;
- support for volunteerism, alternatives to the “Shlyakh” system, the development of entrepreneurial activity among veterans, and business tools;
- the role of communities in the war and in Ukraine’s post-war recovery.
