Poltava hosted the Interregional Forum “Status and Prospects for the Implementation of Veterans’ Policy,” which was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Veterans’ Affairs of Ukraine, departments responsible for veterans’ policy from various regions, local government bodies, civil society organizations, veterans’ organizations, as well as war veterans.
The forum served as a platform for professional dialogue, the exchange of experiences, and the development of joint approaches to implementing veterans’ policies at the regional and local levels.
During the event, participants learned about Poltava Oblast’s practical experience in organizing support for veterans. In particular, they visited the “Poltava Veterans Center” municipal facility, the “Veteran” rehabilitation center, the veterans’ assistance department at the “Aqua-Arena” sports complex, and the “Veterans’ Care Space.”
Artur Nasibyan, head of the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Policy, shared the Donetsk region’s experience in developing and implementing veterans’ policies under martial law and during relocation.
Such events promote the exchange of best practices among regions, the development of common approaches to implementing the state’s veteran policy, and the adoption of effective solutions aimed at supporting the Defenders of Ukraine and their family members.
