Representatives of the Donetsk region authorities took part in the presentation of the educational series "Public Service Without Barriers," created for civil servants and local government officials on the "Dія.Освіта" platform.
Participants were presented with the course content and practical tools for implementing the principles of accessibility in their daily work. This refers not only to the physical accessibility of buildings, but also to clear communication, the use of simple language in documents, the adaptation of electronic and offline services, and appropriate interaction with people of different ages, veterans, internally displaced persons, people with disabilities, and other population groups.
The series consists of seven episodes and contains practical case studies: how to conduct an accessibility audit of institutions, organize inclusive citizen receptions, build people-centered services, avoid discriminatory language, and increase trust in the authorities through quality communication.
Participants were also told about the opportunity to undergo training in the format of an educational marathon—after watching the episodes, listeners complete test assignments, receive a certificate, and can apply the knowledge they have gained when providing administrative and social services.
Participation in the presentation gave regional specialists the opportunity to learn about modern approaches to creating accessible services and to implement them in their work with community residents.
