On September 16, Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, chaired a working meeting on ensuring the rights and freedoms of IDPs.
The event was attended by Deputy Head of Donetsk Regional State Administration Oleksandr Shevchenko, Head of the Council for Internally Displaced Persons at Donetsk Regional State Administration, as well as heads of structural units of the RSA.
During the meeting, they discussed the issue of housing for IDPs, including the implementation of housing policy programs in 2025-2026, and compensation mechanisms for destroyed housing. Other important issues were access to Ukrainian education for children from the temporarily occupied territories and improvement of the activities of IDP Councils.
The issues of state payments for accommodation, employment, and compensation for utilities in places of temporary residence were also discussed.
Supporting IDPs is one of the key areas of work. The most important thing today is to provide people affected by the war with justice, security and confidence in the future.
