Representatives of the regional administration's department for veteran policy took part in a meeting of the Coordination Headquarters for the Implementation of State Veteran Policy, which was held on November 4 in Kyiv and chaired by the Minister for Veteran Affairs of Ukraine, Natalia Kalmykova.
The meeting was also attended by heads of regional structural units on veteran policy, representatives of departments and offices of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.
During the discussion, the following areas that form the basis of this system were discussed:
- development of regional infrastructure for veteran policy;
- support for specialists accompanying war veterans and demobilized persons;
- mental health issues;
- development of veteran sports;
- medical care for veterans.
Artur Nasibyan, Head of the Regional State Administration's Department for Veterans' Affairs, reported on the work being done in the region to support veterans and their families, and shared his experience and insights into working in conditions of active combat and temporary occupation of territories.
Representatives of the department also received departmental commendations from the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine for their professionalism and conscientious performance of their duties.
