During their visit to the Pokrovsk Sports and Youth Center, Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Ihor Boiko, together with Head of the Physical Culture and Sports Department of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Volodymyr Mytsyk, inspected the conditions under which Donetsk Oblast's sports infrastructure continues to operate.

Head of the Pokrovsk City Military Administration Serhii Dobriak and Deputy Head of the Pokrovsk City Military Administration Marharyta Idrisova spoke about the center's work, youth and sports activities, and opportunities for veterans.

The facility was relocated to Dnipro along with all sports equipment evacuated from the Pokrovsk hromada. Since December 2024, it has featured a modern gym, a fitness hall, a boxing and kickboxing ring, and a youth platform hosting various events. The "Bars" sports club and an adult boxing section are also active here.

Volodymyr Mytsyk, Head of the Physical Culture and Sports Department of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, emphasized that thanks to relocation, the sports life of the Pokrovsk hromada continues and is developing successfully. Athletes have access to a modern training facility and win awards at all-Ukrainian and international competitions. Efforts continue to engage youth in physical fitness activities and sports competitions within the framework of the national project "Side by Side: All-Ukrainian School and Student Leagues."

Vitalii Shcherbynka, Head of the Family, Youth, and Sports Department of the Pokrovsk City Council, shared more details about the center's sports life. Visiting the center is free of charge for IDPs from Donetsk Oblast, as well as service members and veterans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Visitors can train independently or with a coach or instructor.

Additionally, Head of the Pokrovsk Youth Council Oleksandr Nesterenko presented the youth platform and an amateur museum of the Russo-Ukrainian War. The museum was also relocated from Pokrovsk and continues to add exhibits thanks to fruitful cooperation with military units defending our country, who help collect artifacts of modern Ukrainian history.

The effectiveness of the Pokrovsk hromada's sports life is best demonstrated by the achievements of the athletes themselves. Professional work continues, ensuring that Donetsk Oblast's sports elite has a venue for personal professional development, while young people have a space to implement meaningful initiatives.
