Representatives of Donetsk Regional State Administration and Mariupol City Council joined a coordination meeting held by the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine.
The Donetsk Regional State Administration was represented by the departments of social protection, finance, housing and communal services and the legal department.
The meeting was held to elaborate and resolve unresolved differences to the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "Some issues of providing subventions from the state budget to local budgets for the construction of new housing, reconstruction of existing residential buildings and dormitories, as well as the conversion of non-residential premises into residential ones to form temporary housing funds."
The key provisions of the draft resolution were discussed at the event, including the mechanisms for distributing subventions, the procedure for financing and implementing projects aimed at creating housing funds for temporary residence of internally displaced persons and other categories of citizens in need of support.
The participants provided their suggestions and comments, emphasizing the urgency of the issue of housing in the region and the need to take into account the specifics of the territories affected by the hostilities.
Work on finalizing the draft resolution is ongoing, as its adoption will be an important step in meeting the needs of communities for affordable housing and will contribute to the implementation of the state policy of supporting IDPs.
