The Center for Comprehensive Rehabilitation for Persons with Disabilities "Donbas-Prykarpattia" was visited by representatives of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Social Policy and Protection of Veterans' Rights during a working visit to the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Among the participants were:
- Volodymyr Vasylenko - Deputy Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine,
- Vitaliy Muzychenko - General Director of the Fund for Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities,
- Tetyana Tsyba - People's Deputy of Ukraine, Chair of the Subcommittee on Social Protection of Children Affected by Armed Aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine since 2014, Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Social Policy and Protection of Veterans' Rights,
- Olena Vintonyak - People's Deputy of Ukraine, Chair of the Subcommittee on Regional and Cross-Border Cooperation between Ukraine and EU Member States,
- Nadiya Levkonovych - Deputy of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Council,
- Ludmila Sirko - Deputy Head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Military Administration.
During the meeting, they discussed the functioning of social institutions in wartime and possible ways to solve problems, as well as improving legislative aspects of employment for persons with disabilities.
It was emphasized that in wartime, the work of the Center "Donbas-Prykarpattia" is an example of an effective rehabilitation model. At a time when the country is experiencing deep social upheavals, the center "Donbas-Prykarpattia" becomes a support for those who need not only physical but also psychosocial rehabilitation.
The visit of the representatives of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the Center "Donbas-Prykarpattia" is an important step towards strengthening support for persons with disabilities and veterans in rehabilitation processes.
This is recognition of the strategic work of the institution and the opening of new horizons for systemic support of vulnerable groups.
