At the invitation of friends and partners as part of the “Side by Side: United Communities” project, a creative delegation from the Sartana village community arrived in Staryi Sambir. It was here, on October 3–4, that the vibrant 2nd All-Ukrainian Multigenre Arts Festival “Gates of the Carpathians” took place, bringing together talented artists from all corners of Ukraine.
The trip got off to an exceptionally warm and eventful start. On the eve of the festival’s main event, representatives of the Sartana community had the honor of visiting the Staryi Sambir Public Library. This meeting became a true hub of unity, sincere communication, and the exchange of experiences.
During the visit, guests from Donetsk Oblast took part in a workshop on making patriotic angel charms. As they created these amulets, each person imbued them with a prayer for our defenders and a bright future for Ukraine.
The delegation from the Sartana community shared their experience with the “Heart of the East” IDP Support Center in the Mariupol District, describing how the community lives, comes together, and supports its fellow evacuees.
