On March 10, a meeting was held with veterans, military personnel, and family members of deceased defenders of Ukraine from the Mykolaiv city territorial community. The event was chaired by Oleksandr Shevchenko, deputy head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
Representatives of the Donetsk Regional State Administration's Department for Veterans' Policy also took part.
During the meeting, participants discussed social guarantees for war veterans and family members of deceased (dead or missing) military personnel at the state and regional levels.
Particular attention was paid to the implementation of veteran policy in the Mykolaiv city community and additional social guarantees provided at the expense of the local budget.
During the discussion, emphasis was placed on strengthening social protection for war veterans, supporting the families of deceased defenders of Ukraine, and the need for effective interaction between authorities to ensure the proper implementation of veteran policy at the local and regional levels.
Support for war veterans and the families of fallen defenders of Ukraine remains one of the key priorities of state and regional policy. It is important to ensure an adequate level of social protection, respect, and gratitude for those who defended and continue to defend Ukraine.
