On April 10, a meeting was held with war veterans, family members of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine, and family members of servicemen and women missing in action under special circumstances from the Oleksandrivka community.
Representatives from the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Policy, the Regional Employment Center, and the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast joined the meeting.
During the meeting, the following topics were discussed:
- Support options available in the Oleksandrivka community and how to access them;
- comprehensive support for veterans in the community after their service: the work of a specialist in supporting veterans and demobilized personnel;
- opportunities provided by the employment service for job search and professional development;
- pension benefits and subsidies for housing and utility services for war veterans and family members of those killed in action.
Artur Nasibyan, Head of the Department of Veterans’ Policy, spoke about the social benefits provided at the national and regional levels, explained the procedures for obtaining relevant benefits and social services, and emphasized the importance of dialogue between government officials, war veterans, and their families.
