On October 26, a meeting was held with war veterans and their families from Bakhmut district, organized by the Bakhmut District State Administration and the district military administration. The meeting was also attended by Artur Nasibyan, Head of the Veterans Policy Department of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
The meeting was held as part of the implementation of measures to support war veterans, their families, family members of fallen (deceased) defenders of Ukraine, family members of servicemen, persons missing under special circumstances, and servicemen released from captivity in Bakhmut district. The participants enjoyed a rich cultural program at the Cossack Sich ethno-hutor in Dnipropetrovs'k region, where they had the opportunity to learn about the life of the Ukrainian Cossacks, traditions and crafts of past generations.
The tour also featured demonstrations by Cossacks with weapons and on horseback, followed by a Ukrainian lunch. The friendly atmosphere was maintained with various folk games, entertainment and a master class in Petrykivka painting.
Such meetings are examples of preserving national traditions and cultural heritage, as well as an important element of social adaptation and support for veterans and their families.
In addition, the meeting discussed problematic issues that war veterans face when receiving state guarantees.
