On April 6, a meeting was held with war veterans, their family members, and the families of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine from the Komarsko village community;
Representatives from the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Policy, the Regional Employment Center, and the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast attended the meeting.
The following issues were discussed:
- planned forms of support for veterans and their families, families of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine, and families of those missing under special circumstances from the Komarsk rural community;
- providing information on social guarantees offered at the national and regional levels;
- the provision of social services to war veterans, military personnel, and the families of fallen (deceased or recognized as missing in action) military personnel.
Artur Nasibyan, Head of the Department for Veterans’ Policy at the Regional State Administration, emphasized the possibility of receiving two types of assistance from the regional budget:
- providing monthly financial assistance to children who are family members of a deceased (deceased) Defender of Ukraine, Ukrainian military personnel taken prisoner, or persons missing under special circumstances while performing military service, including those who have a declared/registered place of residence (stay) in the territory of Donetsk Oblast and have moved (evacuated) beyond its borders;
- provision of annual one-time assistance to family members of deceased Defenders of Ukraine.
