Representatives of the Shakhiv community in Donetsk Oblast and the Irkliiv community in Cherkasy Oblast took part in the regional festival “Pysanka – 2026,” which was held in the Mokrokalyhir community in Cherkasy Oblast.
The Shakhiv community had the honor of representing Donetsk Oblast amid the colorful diversity of Ukrainian traditions. The Shakhiv community’s exhibition became part of a grand celebration where culture comes alive, songs are sung, the experience of generations is passed down, and the true unity of the Ukrainian people is felt.
The collaboration between the Shakhiv community and the Irkliiv community as part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities” adds special significance to this event. It is precisely such initiatives that today unite the regions of Ukraine, strengthen mutual support, and prove that together we are stronger.
The festival impressed with its atmosphere of sincerity and creativity: each pysanka carries deep meaning and symbolism, the performances of the groups embody the soul of Ukraine, and the works of the artisans represent a living tradition that bridges the past and the present.
Together, we preserve, enrich, and promote Ukrainian traditions.
