Government officials met with veterans and the families of defenders from the Kramatorsk community

On March 27, a meeting was held with veterans and the families of defenders from the Kramatorsk city community. 

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Policy, the Kramatorsk District State Administration’s Division of Veterans’ Policy, the Main Office of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast, the Regional Employment Center, the Danish Refugee Council, and the Protection Department of the charitable organization “Coordination Center.” 

The following issues were discussed during the meeting:

the role of veteran policy in community development and the introduction of the “Dialogue of Strength: Veterans and the Community” format;

  • social guarantees provided at the regional and national levels;
  • the system of support for veterans in the community: access to services, support, and coordination of cooperation;
  • the employment service’s capabilities for the integration of veterans and the labor market;
  • current issues regarding pension provision for veterans in the community;
  • psychological support for veterans and their families: DRC opportunities and programs;
  • support for veterans in crisis situations: evacuation and social support.

At the conclusion of the event, participants discussed the urgent needs of veterans and their families, and identified priority areas for further cooperation between government agencies and civil society organizations to ensure effective social protection, psychological support, and the integration of veterans into the community.
