The Head of Donetsk region took part in the third meeting of the “Dialogue with Communities” platform within the framework of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine, chaired by Viktor Mykyta.
This time, the agenda focused on key issues of social policy. Minister of Social Policy Denys Uliutin joined the discussion, along with 1,425 participants from across the country.
The key point is that today social policy is not just a set of separate programs, but a comprehensive system of support for individuals — from basic social payments to access to services, adaptation of internally displaced persons, and support for families with children.
Last year, UAH 1 billion was allocated from the regional budget and local community budgets of Donetsk region to support internally displaced persons — more than a quarter of the total amount allocated by all regions and communities combined.
“It is extremely important to have a platform that allows us to voice specific challenges related to supporting IDPs, the work of social services, and people’s access to assistance.
We are working together with the President, the government, and local communities to build an effective system that truly helps people,” Vadym Filashkin emphasized.
