They discussed the key needs of Donetsk region, primarily ensuring water supply and supporting critical water infrastructure, which is being deliberately targeted and destroyed by the enemy.
They also focused on the evacuation of children. It is important to provide them with everything necessary during transit, as well as to create proper conditions in transit centers and temporary accommodation facilities. This also includes ensuring continuous social support for families after evacuation.
Another topic was the heating season. Thanks, among other things, to the support of UNICEF, the region was able to get through this season, and there is hope that the next one will also be passed steadily together.
A separate area of discussion was support for “Points of Invincibility” and internally displaced persons. Today, these include tens of thousands of people in need of assistance, as well as more than 100 humanitarian hubs across Ukraine that work for them every day.
Vadym Filashkin expressed gratitude for the consistent support provided to Donetsk region and emphasized the importance of continuing joint efforts to respond promptly to challenges and support people.
