On May 26, a meeting was held with war veterans, their family members, and the families of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine from the Kryvyi Rih rural community.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the regional state administration’s department for veteran policy, the Commissioner for Persons Missing Under Special Circumstances, the regional employment center, and the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast.
During the meeting, the following topics were discussed:
- the provision of state and additional social guarantees funded by the regional and local budgets;
- a program to support war veterans, their family members, and the families of fallen Defenders of Ukraine at the local level;
- opportunities offered by the employment service for job search and professional development;
- payment of benefits in honor of Ukraine’s Independence Day.
Participants in the event had the opportunity to receive expert explanations regarding the implementation of state veteran policy at the national, regional, and local levels, as well as available support mechanisms.
