On May 19, a meeting was held with veterans and family members of fallen (deceased) defenders of Ukraine from the Ocheretine community.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Regional State Administration’s Department for Veterans’ Policy, the Commissioner for Persons Missing Under Special Circumstances, the Regional Employment Center, the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast, and the Pokrovsk State Tax Inspectorate of the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in Donetsk Oblast.
The following issues were raised during the meeting:
- social guarantees provided at the national and regional levels;
- the status of implementation of veteran policy and additional social guarantees funded by the budget of the Ocheretine settlement territorial community;
- pension and social benefits for war veterans and their family members;
- opportunities offered by the employment service for veterans and their family members;
- tax support for veteran-owned businesses.
Inna Starostina, Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Policy, spoke in particular about the implementation of government programs related to housing, vocational rehabilitation, and additional social benefits funded by regional and local budgets. At the meeting, participants were able to get answers to pressing questions from representatives of relevant agencies.
