This was reported by the Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Head of the Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin.
The project was presented by Deputy Head of the Office of the President Viktor Mykyta and President of the Ukrainian Association of Football Andriy Shevchenko.
This year, 200 children from Donetsk region will take part in the program. The first group already includes 100 children from 21 communities across the region.
Participants will undergo a 21-day program in Zakarpattia, including 14 days of sports activities. Every day, children will train on football fields under the guidance of professional instructors and legends of Ukrainian football, including Andriy Shevchenko.
The Ukrainian Association of Football will provide more than 50 instructors, 10 qualified supervisors, and over 50 hours of group training sessions to implement the sports component at each location.
The project is free of charge and is primarily intended for children of military personnel, police officers, rescuers, and other categories most affected by the war.
