On February 26, on the 4th anniversary of the full-scale invasion and the 12th anniversary of the war for Ukraine's independence, a meeting was held with war veterans and family members of fallen (deceased) defenders from the Svyatogorsk community.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the regional administration's department for veteran policy and the Council of Families of the Fallen at the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.
The event began with the national anthem. After that, those present honored the memory of the fallen defenders and civilians with a minute of silence.
During the meeting, important issues were discussed regarding:
- the status of the implementation of state policy in the field of social protection of the families of fallen (deceased) defenders of Ukraine, veterans, and military personnel of the Svyatogorsk community;
- social guarantees provided at the state and regional levels;
- current programs of the State Employment Center;
- the reburial of fallen defenders of Ukraine who are buried in cemeteries located in the zone of active hostilities to the National Military Memorial Cemetery.
These measures are designed to preserve the memory of recent historical events, express gratitude to defenders, and strengthen community cohesion in the face of ongoing challenges.
