On August 25, a meeting was held with veterans, their family members, family members of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine, and individuals released from captivity from the Mykolaivka community.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Policy, the Commissioner for Persons Missing Under Special Circumstances, the “Polyana” Sanatorium and Resort Complex, and the Chair of the Council of War Veterans under the Donetsk Regional State Administration
During the event, the following topics were discussed:
- opportunities to support war veterans, their family members, family members of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine, as well as individuals released from captivity, in accordance with local Targeted Programs;
- opportunities for the health improvement, recovery, and rehabilitation of veterans at the “Mirgorodkurort” sanatorium and resort complex;
- opportunities for the health improvement, recovery, and rehabilitation of veterans at the “Polyana” sanatorium and resort complex;
- the legal status of persons missing under special circumstances during military service.
Inna Starostina, Deputy Head of the Department and Head of the Division for Monitoring and Implementation of Veterans’ Programs within the Department of Veterans’ Policy of the Regional State Administration, spoke about state and supplementary social benefits funded by the state and regional budgets.
