On August 25, a meeting was held with war veterans and family members of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine and individuals missing under special circumstances from the Siverska city community.
Representatives from the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Policy and the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, the following topics were discussed:
- the provision of state and additional social guarantees funded by regional and local budgets;
- the main types of financial support for Defenders of Ukraine, war veterans, family members of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine, and persons missing under special circumstances, funded by the local budget;
- the provision of services related to pensions, benefits, and other payments to war veterans and their family members;
- a roadmap for war veterans and their family members: from status to tangible benefits.
Alina Moiseenko, Deputy Head of the Department—Head of the Division for Social Protection of Veterans and Social Support for Family Members of the Fallen within the Department of Veterans’ Policy of the Regional State Administration—spoke about the provision of monthly financial assistance to children who have the status of a family member of a fallen (deceased) Defender of Ukraine, Ukrainian military personnel taken prisoner, or persons missing under special circumstances while performing military service—including those who have a declared/registered place of residence (stay) in the Donetsk region and have relocated (evacuated) beyond its borders.
