With deep respect and pride, we congratulate Hennadiy Dyбовskyi, director and artistic director of the Donetsk Academic Regional Drama Theater (Mariupol), on receiving one of Ukraine's highest state awards — the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise, V degree.
On the eve of the All-Ukrainian Day of Culture Workers and Folk Art Masters, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky presented Hennadiy Dybovskyi with this high distinction for his outstanding personal contributions to the Ukrainian state in the development of national culture.
Under the leadership of Hennadiy Dybovskyi, the theater troupe, which survived the tragedy of the destroyed Mariupol, was reborn in a new place — in Uzhhorod. The theater not only survived, but also became a powerful symbol of spiritual resistance, continuing its creative life, touring Ukraine and countries around the world with cultural diplomacy.
Despite the fact that the enemy is destroying our native Donetsk region, destroying cities and villages, trying to erase everything Ukrainian from the occupied territories, culture continues to live and fight.
Art today is Ukraine's spiritual outpost. It inspires, unites, strengthens faith, and shapes the new strength of the nation.
This high award is recognition not only of Gennady Dibovsky's personal achievements, but also of the entire culture of Donetsk region, which stands alongside the Armed Forces in defending truth, dignity, and national memory.
We sincerely wish Gennady Dibovsky good health, inexhaustible energy, inspiration, and new creative achievements.
May the day come soon when the theater and its artists return to their native, free Donetsk, where Ukrainian words and songs will once again be heard under a peaceful sky. We are proud of your contribution to the development of Ukrainian theater!
