An unemployed person registered with the employment service is required to notify their career advisor (within three business days) of any changes that could affect their status or receipt of benefits.
Here are the main situations that must be reported:
Employment or self-employment: starting a job (even temporary); launching a business activity.
Changes in personal data: change of residence; change of phone number or email address; change of surname or other passport details.
Travel or change of location: moving to another town/city; traveling abroad (notification must be provided no later than three business days prior to crossing the border).
Receipt of income: any income that may affect payments.
Health status: if health conditions change and affect the ability to work; going on sick leave.
Education or advanced training: enrolling in an educational institution (full-time/dual education).
Other important circumstances: receiving a pension; draft or enlistment for military service; any other changes that may affect unemployed status.
Why this is important:
Failure to report such changes may result in: termination of benefit payments; the requirement to repay funds already received; loss of unemployed status.
