Published 22 April 2026 year, 15:45

On April 22, 2026, a briefing dedicated to European Immunization Week 2026 was held at the regional state administration.

The event was organized by the Donetsk Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, with the participation of representatives from the regional state administration’s health department and the media.

The briefing addressed the implementation of the new National Immunization Schedule and the importance of vaccination against infectious diseases. Representatives of the State Institution “DONETSK RCCPD of the Ministry of Health” emphasized that even despite the complex security situation, the Donetsk region traditionally demonstrates high rates of population coverage with routine immunization.

Attendees received information about the benefits of the new National Immunization Schedule, the progress of immunoprophylaxis activities and vaccine availability in the Donetsk region, the specifics of information and communication efforts regarding vaccination, as well as preventive work addressing myths and anti-vaccination beliefs.

We hope that the consolidation of joint efforts regarding vaccination will contribute to the success of achieving the goals of administering planned vaccinations to the population of the Donetsk region against vaccine-preventable diseases, improving people’s health, and fostering a positive perception of immunization.
