Recently, an important professional event took place — a meeting of representatives from the Kostiantynivka and Uzhhorod public libraries within the framework of the all-Ukrainian project "Together: United Communities." This event became a vivid example of library partnership and mutual support in the context of a full-scale war.
The meeting was held in a warm, trusting atmosphere, which facilitated a sincere exchange of experiences and professional dialogue. Participants presented the activities of their institutions, paying special attention to the role of libraries in extraordinary wartime conditions.
They discussed support for internally displaced persons, assistance to the families of military personnel, the organization of volunteer initiatives, the conduct of patriotic events, community information, and the creation of a safe space for communication and self-development.
Librarians discussed common challenges they face in their daily work and shared successful practices that have already proven effective in various communities.
Particular attention was paid to finding points of contact for future cooperation — joint projects, resource and idea exchange, and the organization of interregional events.
The meeting became not only a platform for professional enrichment but also a source of inspiration, faith in the power of culture and education in the most difficult times. It once again proved: despite distances and current challenges, Ukrainian communities are capable of acting together, supporting one another.
