Twelve people from the Donetsk region, who were forced to flee their homes due to the war, have arrived in Ivano-Frankivsk. They are residents of the Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, and Druzhkivka communities. Four of them have limited mobility.
The evacuation is being carried out in close cooperation between the Donetsk and Ivano-Frankivsk regional state administrations, JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia,” the Humanitarian Coordination Center, and the “Rokada” Charitable Foundation in Ivano-Frankivsk.
After an exhausting journey, the people had the opportunity to rest in the waiting room, enjoy some warm tea and cookies, receive psychological support, and complete an initial social assessment.
All new arrivals were transported free of charge and accommodated in temporary housing provided by the Ivano-Frankivsk community. Local authorities in the host community will provide social support during the process of obtaining legal status and living assistance for internally displaced persons, as well as psychological and medical assistance.
At the transit point, international organizations conducted registration for one-time cash assistance.
✅The following social guarantees are provided for evacuees:
• free housing in municipally owned facilities (designated as temporary shelters);
• payment of living allowances to internally displaced persons;
• humanitarian, psychological, and medical assistance, etc.
Since the beginning of 2026, more than 200 evacuees, including 27 children, have arrived in the Carpathian region on evacuation trains from the Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
