Vadym Filashkin's Greetings on the Constitution Day of Ukraine

Published 28 June 2026 year, 08:40

Dear residents of Donetsk region,

Exactly thirty years ago, the Ukrainian Parliament adopted our Fundamental Law — the Constitution of Ukraine. Although it has been amended several times over the years, one thing has remained unchanged: it is the document that enshrines the centuries-old aspirations of the Ukrainian people — freedom, dignity, statehood, and the right to determine our own future.

These words resonate especially strongly in Donetsk region, where the enemy has spent years trying to take Ukraine away from its people — to strip them of their homes, their language, their flag, and their right to live on their own land.

But Donetsk region stands firm. It stands firm because, for us, Ukraine means our people. Our communities. Our service members, who every day fulfill their constitutional duty as citizens by defending our country and every right guaranteed by the Constitution.

I extend my sincere gratitude to all the Defenders of Ukraine. Thank you to everyone who works for the people and for our country.

We will reclaim what is ours. We will rebuild our cities. And we will build a strong European Ukraine — free, just, and united.

Happy Constitution Day of Ukraine!

Glory to Ukraine!
