A teacher can change a child’s life with a single word spoken at the right moment, with support, and with faith in the child’s abilities. It is precisely these things that help shape people who will later take responsibility for themselves, their loved ones, and their country.
Today, I want to thank all the educators in the Donetsk region.
You continue to teach children at a time when the familiar world of school has been shattered by war. Your students live in various cities across Ukraine and abroad; schools are operating remotely or have been relocated, but you preserve for the children what they need most—a connection to their school, their friends, and their homeland.
Among our educators are those who are currently serving in the Armed Forces. I thank each of you for this dedication.
I wish you strength, grateful students, and as many reasons as possible to be proud of them.
