Donetsk Oblast is a land of strength, endurance, and character.
It is the Ukrainian frontier, where for centuries the most daring people lived — those who conquered the Wild Field and were the first to meet enemies from the east.
Today, we celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the date when Donetsk Region acquired its current status — the status of a region — uniting the Azov Sea coast, Donbas, and Slobozhanshchyna within its borders.
But the essence of Donetsk Oblast lies not in formal statuses, but in its people, who continue to defend themselves against yet another invasion from the east, in the memory of their ancestors, in their deep Ukrainian roots that can never be torn out or broken.
No matter what changes history brings, Donetsk Oblast remains inseparable from Ukraine. And it will remain so — free, strong, and unbreakable.
May free Donetsk Oblast flourish in a free Ukraine!
