Dear residents of Donetsk region,
This Easter, we once again greet the dawn with air raid sirens and news from the front. Yet even in such circumstances, Easter comes — quietly, persistently — as a reminder that darkness does not last forever.
“Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, be courageous, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love!” (1 Corinthians 16:13–14).
Today, these words sound like a call to hold on. To believe — when it is hard. To endure — when it feels like there is no strength left. And to know that life is stronger than death.
We are walking our path — difficult, painful, but ours. And within it, there is room for faith, humanity, and hope.
May this day bring each of us at least a little light within — for ourselves, for our loved ones, and for those who are far away.
I wish all of us the strength to wait for the most important thing — Ukraine’s victory. And after it — a true and lasting peace.
Christ is risen!
