



From 19 to 23 May near the city of Lviv - the European youth capital, participants in the program “Pidkhid, trauma awareness, in the context of access to human rights and basic services for internal affairs” strengthened their coaching competencies displacement of people and people returning to Ukraine" and "Youth workers are informed about trauma."
At the 5-day training for trainers “People’s rights and approaches, information about trauma”, knowledge was gained by representatives of 18 large organizations and 9 youth centers in Chernihiv, Chernivetsky, Donetsk, Kyiv, Kirovograd, Khmelnytsky, Lviv, Mykolayiv, Poltava, Rivnensky, Sumy, Vinnitsky, Volinsky, Zakarpattia, Zaporizhsky regions.
Additionally, participants observed the persistence of the trauma-informed approach for a variety of target audiences. The focus was on children and youth and people forced to move beyond the border. With the participation of Natalia Rudnytska, intercessor of the head of the youth policy department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, and Oksana Siroya, coordinator of the “Youth Practitioner” program, All-Ukrainian Youth Center, trainers We discussed the place, calls and proposals for changes to the “Youth Practitioner” program looking at youth work, informed about trauma.
It is expected that in 2024 there will be a response to the needs of key national and local partners in Ukraine with two projects for the sake of Europe: “Improving access to human rights and essential services for internal movements of persons and people who are returning to Ukraine” and “Youth for Democracy in Ukraine: Phase III” launched the “Trauma Awareness Program in the context of access to human rights and essential services for internal displacement of people” I’d like to return to Ukraine.” Trainers and trainers of the program are 24 representatives and representatives of youth centers and organizations that work with internal displacement of people who move around: youth workers and nurses, psychologists and psychologists, social workers and doctors. They represent 13 regions of Ukraine: Kirovograd, Zhytomyr, Kiev, Zaporizka, Sumska, Poltavska, Lvivska, Mykolayivska, Chernivetska, Volinska, Rivnenska, Khmelnytskyi, Donetsk.
Starting from 2022, in collaboration with partners, the Project for the sake of Europe “Youth for Democracy in Ukraine” has developed and launched the initially practical program “Youth work, trauma-informed” in response to needs directly organizing capacity development activities for youth workers and nurses by providing assistance and support to internal displacement individuals, repatriates, vulnerable groups of the population period of war. Beginning in 2023, special training “Youth work, trauma-informed” will be introduced in Ukraine within the framework of the State program “Youth Practitioner” in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports for Europe.
