The year 2025 is still ongoing, but it’s already safe to say: for thousands of people, it has become a year of new opportunities. For some — it marked their first day at a new job; for others — a chance to master a long-dreamed-of profession; and for many — the start of their own business.
18.5 thousand people received support from specialists of the Donetsk Regional Employment Service. Among them are veterans, internally displaced persons, and people with disabilities — all of whom proved that the will to work is stronger than any circumstances.
Employers in Donetsk region are actively cooperating with the Employment Service. Since the beginning of the year, over 2.1 thousand companies have shared their staffing needs — that’s about 8.5 thousand job opportunities for job seekers.
7.7 thousand job seekers have already found employment. Notably, 768 of them were hired under a program that provides reimbursement to employers — a mechanism that encourages businesses to create new jobs and give opportunities to those who need additional support.
2.2 thousand unemployed individuals completed vocational training or skills upgrading courses — and almost 90% of them are already employed. Through a government project implemented at the Training and Professional Development Centers of the State Employment Service, 394 combat veterans and 7 people with war-related disabilities mastered new professions. In addition, 1.2 thousand Ukrainians received education vouchers for training in high-demand specialties — from nursing and psychology to modern technologies in electronic communications.
More than 8.7 thousand referrals were issued for community service jobs — another way to help people stay active, earn wages, and support local communities in their recovery.
These numbers are more than just statistics — behind each one is the story of a person who felt supported and found their path, and a story of an employer who gained a valuable employee and a reliable partner in business development.
The Donetsk Regional Employment Service continues to work alongside people, communities, and businesses — helping to rebuild the economy even under the most challenging conditions.
