A one-time financial payment for Independence Day of Ukraine is planned for war veterans and some other categories of citizens, ranging from UAH 450 to UAH 3,100, specifically:
🔻 UAH 450 — for war participants and former prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos, and other places of forced detention; persons who were forcibly taken for labor; children of partisans, underground fighters, and other participants in the struggle against the Nazi regime behind enemy lines.
🔻 UAH 650 — for family members of deceased (fallen) war veterans, whose status is established under paragraph 1, Article 10 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Status of War Veterans, Guarantees of Their Social Protection”; family members of fallen Defenders of Ukraine; spouses of deceased persons with disabilities caused by war who have not remarried; spouses of deceased combatants, war participants, and victims of Nazi persecution who, during their lifetime, were recognized as persons with disabilities due to general illness, occupational injury, or other causes, and who have not remarried.
🔻 UAH 1,000 — for combatants, injured participants of the Revolution of Dignity, and former underage prisoners (under 18 at the time of imprisonment) of concentration camps, ghettos, and other places of forced detention, as well as children born in such places of forced detention of their parents.
🔻 UAH 3,100 — for persons with special merits before the Motherland.
🔻 For persons with disabilities due to war and former child prisoners (under 14 at the time of imprisonment) of concentration camps, ghettos, and other places of forced detention, recognized as persons with disabilities due to general illness, occupational injury, or other causes:
Group I — UAH 3,100;
Group II — UAH 2,900;
Group III — UAH 2,700.
👆 For those receiving a pension/monthly lifetime financial support, the payments will be assigned automatically, without the need to personally apply to the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
Important❗
For persons who are not:
▫ registered with the Pension Fund of Ukraine as pensioners/recipients of lifetime financial support for retired judges;
▫ serving in security ministries and agencies, penitentiary institutions, or pre-trial detention centers —
financial assistance will be provided upon their application to the territorial bodies of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (service centers), along with the relevant application and documents confirming identity, status, and the current account number of the authorized bank, etc.
🖇 For recipients among servicemen, police officers, members of the commanding and rank-and-file staff of law enforcement bodies, the Judicial Security Service, and the State Criminal-Executive Service who are currently in service (except retirees), funding of the financial assistance will be transferred to the non-budgetary accounts of the respective military units, institutions, or organizations at their place of service.
🔖 The procedure for one-time financial payments for Independence Day of Ukraine, as stipulated by the Laws of Ukraine “On the Status of War Veterans, Guarantees of Their Social Protection” and “On Victims of Nazi Persecution”, was approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated December 27, 2023, No. 1396 “Certain Issues of Social Protection of Persons with Special or Distinguished Labor Merits Before the Motherland, War Veterans, and Persons Working in Special Conditions.”
