A one-time monetary payment for the Independence Day of Ukraine to war veterans and some other categories of citizens is provided in the amounts of UAH 450 to UAH 3,100, namely:
UAH 450 — to war participants and former prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos, other places of forced detention, persons who were forcibly taken to forced labor, children of partisans, underground fighters, other participants in the fight against the National Socialist regime behind enemy lines;
UAH 650 — to family members of fallen (deceased) war veterans, the status of which is established in accordance with Clause 1 of Article 10 of the Law of Ukraine «On the status of war veterans, guarantees of their social protection», family members of fallen (deceased) Defenders and Defenders of Ukraine, wives (husbands) of deceased persons with disabilities as a result of the war who have not remarried, wives (husbands) of deceased participants in hostilities, participants in the war and victims of Nazi persecution, recognized during their lifetime as persons with disabilities from general illness, labor injury and other reasons, who did not remarry;
UAH 1,000 — to combatants, injured participants of the Revolution of Dignity and former minors (who were under 18 years of age at the time of imprisonment) prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos, other places of forced detention, as well as children born in the specified places of forced detention of their parents;
UAH 3,100 — to persons who have special services to the Motherland;
persons with disabilities as a result of war and former minors (who were under 14 years of age at the time of imprisonment) prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos, other places of forced detention, recognized as persons with disabilities from general illness, labor injury and for other reasons:
Group I — 3,100 hryvnias;
II group — 2,900 hryvnias;
III group — 2,700 hryvnias.
Persons who receive a pension/monthly lifetime allowance will be assigned cash payments automatically, without personal appeal to the bodies of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
We pay attention!
To persons who are not:
▫registered with the bodies of the Pension Fund of Ukraine as recipients of pension/monthly lifetime financial support of retired judges;
▫in the service of law enforcement ministries and departments, in penal institutions and pretrial detention centers, —
cash assistance is paid upon their appeals to the territorial bodies of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (service centers) with a corresponding application and documents confirming the person, his status, the current account number of the authorized bank, etc.
For recipients from among military personnel, police officers, senior and rank-and-file members of internal affairs bodies, the court security service, senior and rank-and-file members of the State Criminal Enforcement Service who are serving (except pensioners), financial assistance will be financed on non-budgetary accounts of military units, institutions, organizations at their place of service.
The procedure for making a one-time cash payment for the Independence Day of Ukraine, provided for by the Laws of Ukraine «On the status of war veterans, guarantees of their social protection» and «On victims of Nazi persecution», was approved by the resolution of the CMU dated 12.27.2023 № 1396 «Some issues of social protection of persons who have special and special labor services to the Motherland, war veterans and persons working in special conditions».
