The Recipe for Resilience: How “LOFT 2022” Became a Piece of Donetsk in the Heart of Kyiv

Published 19 March 2026 year, 15:50

They say business is all about dry numbers and cold calculation. But the story of Inna Levchenko proves otherwise. Her work is about people, about a home that always lives in the heart, and about the incredible ability of Ukrainians to build a future even in the most difficult times.

When the war forced Ms. Inna to leave her hometown of Pokrovsk, she took with her the most valuable things — her unbreakable energy and a sincere desire to create. That is how the café-bar “LOFT 2022” appeared in the capital — a place with a distinct “Donetsk” character and exceptionally delicious coffee.

Opening a venue in Kyiv is not something everyone would dare to do. But for Ms. Inna, it became a mission. She chose a path where business success goes hand in hand with helping others.

“We don’t just prepare food. We create jobs for people who, like me, were forced to start life from scratch,” the entrepreneur shares.

The secret of “LOFT 2022”’s resilience lies in the ability to effectively use available opportunities. Long-term cooperation with employment service specialists has grown into a true partnership. Thanks to this collaboration, the entrepreneur successfully builds her team, including by using state financial incentives for employers.

Today, “LOFT 2022” is a space where people who have lost their homes find stability, support, and confidence. Every cup of coffee here is a contribution to Ukraine’s economy and proof that our inner fire cannot be extinguished.
