A gender equality specialist from the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast conducted informational work among people at the evacuation point.

Special attention was paid to people with limited mobility, elderly citizens, and children. As part of the event, a presentation entitled "Barrier-free access: why it is important for everyone" was given, explaining:

🔹 what barrier-free access is and how it ensures equal opportunities for people of all ages and conditions;

🔹 why the needs of children, elderly people, and people with reduced mobility must be taken into account;

🔹 how creating an accessible environment helps to stay safe during emergencies.

The purpose of such events is to raise public awareness, foster a culture of respect, and make conditions safe for everyone, regardless of age and ability.
