On December 3, specialists from the Donetsk Regional Employment Center held an online event titled “Work Without Barriers: Strong Through Opportunities”, dedicated to the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
It was a meeting about support, the strength of the human spirit, and the belief that everyone deserves dignified work and the opportunity to realize their potential. The event brought together people striving for professional growth and specialists who devote part of their heart every day to helping overcome barriers on the path to employment.
Natalia Adamova, Director of the Donetsk Regional Employment Center, addressed the participants with words of sincere support. She emphasized: “We work every day to ensure that people with disabilities feel real opportunities for development. Our goal is to help you confidently choose your professional path, find employment, and benefit from all available tools of state support. The Employment Service is by your side at every stage of your career journey.”
During the meeting, participants learned about opportunities for vocational training and retraining, grant support for starting a business, legal employment and formal labor relations, as well as state support programs for employers.
A representative of the Eastern Interregional Department of the State Labor Service spoke about the labor rights of persons with disabilities and emphasized that official employment is not only social protection but also confidence in the future.
A particularly heartfelt part of the conversation was dedicated to psychological support. Employment Service career counselors shared their experience of helping people find inner strength, believe in themselves, rethink their opportunities, and take the first step toward employment. Participants asked questions, shared personal stories, and received advice that inspires and builds confidence.
