For many internally displaced persons, finding a job in a new region is inseparably linked to solving housing issues. That is why vacancies that offer free accommodation are increasingly becoming a decisive factor when choosing to relocate. In Zakarpattia, such opportunities for IDPs are provided by the furniture factory LAMELLA.

The employer offers workers from other regions accommodation and free lunches, and also organizes transportation to and from work using the company’s vehicles from various settlements across Zakarpattia Oblast.

To ensure wide awareness among IDPs about employment opportunities, specialists of the Donetsk Regional Employment Center organized employer presentations in both online and offline formats. Each format proved convenient and effective for its target audience.

During an online presentation meeting held on January 19, direct dialogue was established between the employer and candidates who are still considering relocation to Zakarpattia.

On January 20, an employer presentation took place directly at the production site. IDPs who had recently moved to the region visited the LAMELLA furniture factory, learned about the production process and working conditions, and spoke with company employees—fellow IDPs from Donetsk Region who relocated last year and are now successfully employed.

Participants actively asked questions about candidate requirements, employment conditions, and accommodation options in order to make informed decisions and plan their next steps in the new region.

After getting acquainted with the production process, six participants immediately chose employment at the LAMELLA factory as a reliable starting point for their professional development.
