To mark Family Day, as part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” a themed online event titled “Traditions That Bring Families Together” was held for families in the Velykonovosilky and Teplitsa territorial communities.
The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen partnerships between communities, promote family values, preserve cultural heritage, and support inter-family dialogue. During the event, participants shared stories about their families, traditions, customs, and experiences raising children, demonstrating the importance of the family as the foundation of Ukrainian society.
As part of the event, traditional dishes from the Velykonovosilky region were presented, which have been submitted to the regional register of intangible cultural heritage. Special attention was given to family culinary traditions: the family of Alona and Andriy Kapitan presented the traditional dish of the Greeks of Nadazovia, “Ahchachich,” and the family of Olena and Oleksandr Kalnichenko from the Teplitska community presented stuffed cabbage rolls with green buckwheat.
The event took place in a warm atmosphere, serving as yet another example of effective inter-community cooperation that unites people around shared values, mutual support, and respect for Ukrainian traditions.
Let’s preserve family values, uphold traditions, and strengthen our communities together 💙💛
