Families of missing servicemembers received information regarding search efforts and social benefits

On September 11, representatives of the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Policy participated in a meeting with the families of military personnel who went missing under special circumstances while on active duty. The meeting was organized by a representative of the Commissioner for Persons Missing Under Special Circumstances.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Main Investigative Directorate, the Specialized Center for the Search for Persons Missing Under Special Circumstances at the Main Directorate of the National Police in Donetsk Oblast, the Donetsk Oblast Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, the State Scientific Research Expert-Criminalistics Center, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast, as well as a representative of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.

During the meeting, representatives of these institutions provided the families of missing servicemembers with necessary explanations on issues within their purview and discussed pressing problems the families face while searching for their loved ones.

Alina Moiseenko, Deputy Head of the Department and Head of the Division for Social Protection of Veterans and Social Support for Family Members of the Deceased within the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Policy, spoke about the social guarantees provided to the families of missing-in-action servicemen and prisoners of war.
