The Russian Orthodox Church is no longer trying to hide its involvement in the militarization of the occupied territories. This is evidenced by the active participation of representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church in the public relations activities of military units.

For example, militants from the paramilitary formation "Bars-Crimea" said that they had given a motorcycle to Russian Orthodox priest Dmitry Krotkov "for combat missions." Russian propagandists openly declare that the motorcycle "will be used in the Kherson region to carry out combat missions" and that cooperation between the army and the church is "the key to victory."
Krotkov is the head of the "military department" of the Crimean Metropolis of the Russian Orthodox Church, which oversees cooperation with the Russian army, "humanitarian" supplies, and the establishment of dugout churches near the front line. He is also involved in criminal proceedings by the Security Service of Ukraine for aiding an aggressor state.
In other words, church structures are openly involved in agitating for participation in hostilities, providing ideological support to the occupiers, and legitimizing the war as a "sacred mission." This once again confirms the role of the Russian Orthodox Church as part of Russia's war machine.
